02Local-first architecture

VeriPDF is designed with a local-first architecture. This means:

  • Your PDF documents are processed entirely on your device
  • Document content is never uploaded to our servers
  • OCR processing happens locally on your machine
  • Annotations, edits, and signatures are stored locally
  • No internet connection is required for core functionality

03Information we collect

3.1Account information

When you create an account, we collect:

  • Name (optional)
  • Password (stored securely using industry-standard hashing)

3.2Payment information

Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your credit card information. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data.

3.3License information

We store license keys associated with your account to validate your subscription and manage device activations.

3.4Usage analytics (optional)

With your consent, we may collect anonymous usage statistics to improve the application. This includes:

  • Feature usage frequency
  • Application performance metrics
  • Error reports (without document content)

You can disable analytics at any time in the application settings.
